During the time frame of August 25 to September 1, the New Buccaneer participated in one 30-hour safari trip and six 12-hour trips. In general, fishing has been good, with the exception of Friday when we had a tough day—which happens from time to time. It has been an interesting week, as red snapper have generally been either very large or fairly small, with few in between. Amberjack season opened on September 1, and the New Buccaneer landed four.
