The New Buccaneer with Captain Brian has been running daily 12-hour deep sea trips, and so far, we've been enjoying favorable weather. Fishing overall has been good, though daily results can vary.

Some days we've seen limits of red snapper brought aboard, with many fish measuring in the 16–17 inch range. On other days, the catch has included noticeably larger snapper. It's worth noting that there's still plenty of red snapper activity, both recreational and commercial, in our area. Just a reminder: the size limit for red snapper is smaller on the commercial side than it is for recreational fishing.

We've also experienced some offshore current, which is typical for this time of year, but it can make fishing a bit more challenging at times.

All in all, the season is going strong, and we’re hopeful the good weather and productive fishing continue, without any tropical disruptions as we head into the final stretch before the school year begins.
